Sausage Grill Packets

Grill packets are great weeknight dinners that don’t require heating up the house with the oven and can be prepped early. Assembling the packets is super easy, too. Chop up all the ingredients, put them in the packet, and grill. That’s it. Plus there are endless combinations for these great little packets. Shrimp, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and squash/zucchini is one of my other favorite combinations!

Total time:
Serves: 4
  • 2 lbs. Spicy Italian Sausage, Links
  • 3 Large Bell Peppers, sliced
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion, sliced
  • 1 tbsp. Italian Seasoning
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • ¼ Cup Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
  • 6 Foil Packets
  1. Pre-heat the grill. You want medium to medium-high heat.
  2. Wash and slice bell peppers and onions. I like to slice into thin strips.
  3. Chop sausage links into bite sized pieces.
  4. Prepare foil packets. Place an even amount of the bell peppers, onions, and Italian sausage in each packet.
  5. Sprinkle the Italian seasoning, salt & pepper, and olive oil in each packet. Close up the packets.
  6. Place in refrigerator to be grilled later or place on grill.
  7. Grill for 30-35 minutes or until the sausage is cooked through and the peppers and onions are softened.
